MEMBERSHIP
The Society’s Committee aims to provide a varied, interesting and informative programme. We are fortunate to be able to attract high quality professionals to our Saturday afternoon lectures. We hope you choose to join the Society and look forward to welcoming you into our circle at St James Church hall in the centre of Taunton.
Membership Fee for 2026/27:
£25.00 per person
£12.50 for a student or under 18
An additional fee of £5.00 will be payable on the door of each meeting attended. Zoom meetings are included in the membership fee.
For non-members, the door fee will be £10.00 and the cost of attending a Zoom lecture will be £5.00.
The concession allowing new members signing up to have the first door fee waived has been reintroduced.
Payment on the door is 'cash only - no card'.

Regular meetings in person take place on the 2nd Saturday afternoon of each month from September 2026 to June 2027 (January meeting is in the form of Members' lunch). Three meetings will be held via Zoom. Lectures will start at 2pm, with doors open from 1:45. A cup of tea or coffee will be served during the afternoon and meetings usually finish around 4:15.
Due to copyright and to protect the intellectual property rights of the presenter and privacy of attendees, the Society is unable to record and publish the presentations, or to allow others to do so. To remain within The Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, as updated on 1 February 2021. Please do not record, photograph or screenshot any part of the presentations.
